[ARCHIVED] Citrus Heights Police Request Public’s Help to Identify Robbery Victim(s)

May 6, 2015— Citrus Heights Police Detectives recently found digital evidence which revealed a possible strong arm robbery may have occurred on April 20, 2015 at approximately 1:54 p.m. The digital evidence shows a victim confronted by a suspect who robbed him of his bicycle. The suspect’s identity was concealed by wearing a gorilla mask, which is pictured below. The video and still images indicate there were multiple unknown subjects who were present during the robbery.

There have been no reports made with similar circumstances to the Citrus Heights Police Detectives or surrounding agencies. Detectives are seeking the help of the community to locate the victim of the indicated bicycle robbery. They are also requesting the public’s help in identifying anyone else who may have been victimized by the suspect(s) wearing this mask or information regarding the identity of the suspect(s).

Detectives believe the masked suspect and additional unknown subjects may be responsible for additional robberies in Citrus Heights and surrounding areas. The suspect seen in the images is described as white male adult, approximately 5’11” tall, with a medium build. As seen in the images, the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and a gorilla mask during the robbery.

Violent crime cannot be tolerated and places our community at unnecessary risk. Family and friends of the suspect may already be aware of the crime or recognize the individual in the photograph.
