March 17, 2015— On March 17, 2015, the Citrus Heights Police Department arrested Allen Bocteemus Franks for the murder of Citrus Heights resident Kimberly Chittenden. Allen Franks was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of PC 187 - Murder.

On March 16, 2015 at approximately 2:40pm, officers responded to a home in the 7900 block of Rocky Point Court in Citrus Heights for an unresponsive female. Officers arrived and found the victim, Kimberly Chittenden, unresponsive with visible injuries. Officers attempted life saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Detectives arrived and began their investigation as it appeared the victim was assaulted.

Citrus Heights Police requested the assistance of the public and neighboring agencies in locating the victim’s vehicle as it was missing from the garage. It was believed, at the time, the person who took the vehicle was a “Person of interest.”

On March 17, 2015, Sacramento Police Department officers located the vehicle in the area of Marysville Boulevard. The driver, identified as Allen Bocteemus Franks (48 years old), was detained with the vehicle. After being questioned at the police department, Suspect Allen Bocteemus Franks was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for murder.

The investigation indicates that Allen Franks and Kimberly Chittenden knew each other.
